Complacency

Summary

Using a mix of hyper-realism, audience interaction, and immersive theatre, Complacency places its viewers inside the world of today’s college students. The story follows a group of five friends as they struggle against depression, suicide, grief, and emotional abuse between friends. The show questions how young people can help each other having grown up in a society that teaches them to hide and repress many of their emotions. When there is no one to help, the characters aren't truly alone, however, and they turn for help to the only people left: the audience.
